چکیده

DNA isolation is one of the important steps in conducting PCR-based or real-time molecular analysis. This study aims to test quality extracted from samples processed food products chicken meat (chicken nuggets). The novelty this research lies technique modified manual kit which used produce good-quality results. extraction method was and standard DNeasy Mericon Food kit. Analysis measured using a nanophotometer, where analysis analyzed based on parameters concentration values purity values. Based data, it known that produces value with an average 1295.1 ng/µL. Meanwhile, isolated 2.10 average. while resulted 111.53 While at 1.926. From data analyzed, found has advantage obtained higher than method, better when compared method.

Detection of processed genetically modified food using CIM monolithic columns for DNA isolation.

The availability of sufficient quantities of DNA of adequate quality is crucial in polymerase chain reaction (PCR)-based methods for genetically modified food detection. In this work, the suitability of anion-exchange CIM (Convective Interaction Media; BIA Separations, Ljubljana, Slovenia) monolithic columns for isolation of DNA from food was studied. Maize and its derivates corn meal and therm...

N-nitrosamines in processed meat products

A sensitive, selective and generic method has been developed for the simultaneous determination of the contents ( g kg−1 range) of both volatile nitrosamines (VNA) and non-volatile nitrosamines (NVNA) in processed meat products. The extraction procedure only requires basic laboratory equipment and a small volume of organic solvent. Separation and quantification were performed by the developed L...

Identification of Pork Adulteration in Processed Meat Products Using the Developed Mitochondrial DNA-Based Primers

The identification of pork in commercially processed meats is one of the most crucial issues in the food industry because of religious food ethics, medical purposes, and intentional adulteration to decrease production cost. This study therefore aimed to develop a method for the detection of pork adulteration in meat products using primers specific for pig mitochondrial DNA. Mitochondrial DNA se...

PCR-based detection of genetically modified soybean and maize in raw and highly processed foodstuffs.

The PCR method has proved to be an invaluable tool for the specific and sensitive detection of genetically modified material (e.g., Roundup Ready Soybean and Bt-176 "Maximizer" Maize) in foodstuffs. The first step in the procedure, namely the purification of nucleic acids from the sample, is often the deciding factor in the production of meaningful results. In this study, we present two procedu...

Comparative analysis of the Schleicher and Schuell IsoCode Stix DNA isolation device and the Qiagen QIAamp DNA Mini Kit.

Efficient, rapid, and reproducible procedures for isolating high-quality DNA before PCR gene amplification are essential for the diagnostic and molecular identification of pathogenic bacteria. This study evaluated the Qiagen QIAamp DNA Mini Kit and the Schleicher and Schuell IsoCode Stix DNA isolation device for isolating nucleic acid. Buffer, serum, and whole-blood samples were spiked with Bac...
